Outside the City

Most Dasaroi who know who and what they are choose to live in Shayara; some do not.

The second-largest concentration of Dasaroi is the Sanctuary. The Sanctuary is located in a red rock canyon in southern Utah, far from everything; you won't get within miles of it if Jason doesn't want you to, what with the layers of wardings and misdirections. Actually entering the area is like entering Shayara... the air shimmer and you go through the almost-intangible barrier, and there you are - an oasis. A subtropical zone in the middle of the desert,built atop a network of caverns, a complex of one large sprawling two-story mansion and a scattering of outlying buildings.

It is a combination school and safe haven. The traditional use of the Sanctuary is as a school, a training ground; Dasaroi in their early teens go their to study the history of their people and their home, as well as develop their individual powers to the fullest. The Sanctuary also functions as an extensive network tracking all known living Dasaroi, and rendering all necessary aid - often via the "away team" of Tessa Stone and Adam Tallart.
